We are part of the Pigeon Lake community and are a designated Alberta Historic site. We operate a retreat center which has been named “the meeting place”. We offer a home away from home to families having reunions, youth groups from the city who come to experience nature and ladies who want to scrapbook for the weekend. We also offer education programs to school groups so that they can experience life as a child in the 1800’s. I beleive we are unique in that we are a historic site that you can truly experience by staying here in our facilties. We conrinue to discover the history of our area as the site had all but diappeared until Dr. Rev. Gerald Hutchinson asked the burning question: Why do they call this Mission Beach? We now have a group of volunteers that have formed the Rundles Mission Society who preserve the site, offer education programs and rental facilties to the public. We are continuing our research and to discover the story of Rundle’s Mission. Have a look at our website at http://www.rundlesmission.org
